Author Guidelines

Manuscripts should be double-spaced, using 12-point Times New Roman font throughout, including notes.

Please include a cover page containing the title of the paper and the full names of all authors, as well as their affiliations and email addresses. One of the authors should be identified as the corresponding author. Any acknowledgements and funding information should also be included in the cover page.

The first non-cover page of the manuscript should contain an abstract of 250 words or fewer, together with no more than 5 keywords.

Spelling, references and notes should follow the format established in the latest edition of the Chicago Manual of Style, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Notes should be in the form of footnotes, not endnotes.

References should appear immediately after the text of the paper.

Double quotation marks should be used for any quoted material that appears within the body of the text, with single quotation marks used for quotes within quotes.

Any tables, illustrations, or figures should be submitted in a separate editable document. Please supply diagrams and other line drawings as 1200 dpi TIFF or EPS files. Please supply photographs as 300 dpi (or higher) TIFF files. All figures must be cited in the text.

The editors of RHETM will work with the authors of papers accepted for publication to ensure that final manuscripts adhere to our requirements for style.

Unlike many journals, RHETM does not set a word limit on articles that will be accepted for publication. However, the editors encourage prospective authors to self-police their word counts and to keep their essays to the minimum length necessary to establish the relevant argument.

Only original, unpublished papers will be considered. Please do not simultaneously offer your paper to another publication.
